Spooky season is almost here, what better way to spend spooky season then to curl up with some popcorn and watch a scary movie? The Rooftop Cinema Club is an open-air theater on top of the Whole Foods in BLVD Place. It provides an atmosphere of what’s been called “social cinema” wherein viewers at times walk around and interact with the environment during the course of the movie.
With spooky season nearly here, the cinema club is pulling out all the stops to make Halloween season terrific in Houston:
“It’s that time again 👻 Our fall programs for all venues are on sale NOW, with tickets available for your local Rooftop Cinema Club venue through October 31 🙌🍿 We’ll have screenings for Hispanic Heritage Month, our Virgo, Libra and Scorpio Zodiac collections, and of course a MASSIVE lineup of Halloween frights and delights all October long 👻”
Spooky season at Rooftop Cinema Club kicks off early on August 27 with a screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The rest of the program follows as such:
Plus, show up to a screening in costume and receive free candy on the house!
For other al fresco movie-going experiences, Moonstruck Drive-In located at Midway’s 150-acre East River development on 100 Bringhurst St. screens a variety of 4K features on a 80 x 40-foot screen with a stunning skyline backdrop. Per tradition, the cinema announces their weekend program on Monday evenings – so stay tuned to their website for updates!
