This fall is going to be a good season for festivals in the Houston area. In addition to Southern Smoke – the largest food and wine festival in Houston taking place this October – and Chopd + Stewd‘s massive West African Festival this September, the 27th Annual Houston Turkish Festival is slated for this September.
Scheduled for September 23 and 24, the 27th Annual Houston Turkish Festival returns to Houston at the Water Works at Buffalo Bayou.
With the proceeds going to Turkish earthquake relief efforts, the Turkish Festival is set to feature local and international artists, including Yeni Turka and Tuana, performing live music and dancing. Additionally, visitors can also enjoy arts and crafts demonstrations, a vibrant marketplace, as well as outstanding Turkish food, coffee, beer, and wine.
The festival will also include a children’s play area with games, crafts, and other activities.
“The 27th Annual Houston Turkish Festival stage program is live and full of incredible artists who will share Turkish music and dance with the Houston community. All of these performances are free with the purchase of an entrance ticket,” the organization wrote in an Instagram post.
