As a person who is overcome with an instant feeling of joy at the passing sight of any given animal, who often seizes each opportunity with an insistent request to pet these animals, this writer understands the soothing powers of animal cuddling. As such, it only makes sense for there to be a place where people can do just this – without having to burden any busy animal owners simply walking their dogs.
Rose Therapeutic Farm is now open in Katy, where Houstonians can do yoga with a herd of adorable goats, or instead, simply cuddle with all the animals.
The farm was originally located in Fulshire where it started as a fun country goat yoga experience. Since then, it’s hitched over to Brookshire just outside of Houston where it’s expanded its facilities and added a few more animal residents to the mix.
Opened this past October, Rose Therapeutic Farm & Goat Yoga is located at 1324 Peach Ridge Rd just outside of Houston. Here, Houstonians can partake in any number of wholesome activities, that include Goat Yoga, Goat Yoga with Mimosas and Farm Tours, Pumpkin Carving with Goats, and Baby Goat Snuggle Sessions:
“Have you ever had a baby goat fall asleep in your lap? Or maybe hopped up onto your legs and given you the softest headbutt ever possible? If you’re looking to spend an hour snuggling, hugging, and playing with baby goats – you’ve come to the right place!’
General Admission tickets are also available priced at $16 for people ages 11 and up, $13 for those younger. General Admission tickets grant buyers the chance to meet the animals on the farm, including a steer, three little pigs, chicken, ducks, a peacock – and of course, goats!
Tickets holders are permitted to stay as long as they like, rain shine, or snow. Outside pets are not allowed by beverages are.
