There was a lot to love at the 67th annual GRAMMY Awards. Houston’s own Beyoncé secured three more GRAMMYs to add to her trophy case, including the elusive Album of the Year.
Last night also saw the return of The Weeknd, who famously has boycotted the award series since 2021. In addition to The Weeknd’s GRAMMY nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance for We Still Don’t Trust You with Future and Metro Boomin, the Canadian electronic artist announced his new stadium tour: “After Hours Til Dawn”.
The After Hours Til Dawn will comprise of The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, and Mike Dean performing in 24 cities across the United States and Canada. The “After Hours Til Dawn” tour will kick off on May 9, with a performance at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona. On Saturday, August 30, The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour comes to NRG Stadium in Houston.
Interested parties can join the ticket presales via Ticketmaster, which start on Wednesday, February 5. According to the ticketing platform, VIP tickets will also be available (for an undisclosed price) and include a ticket to The Weeknd’s new movie Hurry Up Tomorrow at a participating US theater.
General tickets go on sale on Friday, February 7.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is The Weeknd’s sixth studio album, rounding out the trilogy preceded by After Hours and Dawn FM. Released on January 31, the album features collaborations with such artists as Justice, Giorgio Moroder, Florence and the Machine, Travis Scott, and more. Featured tracks include: Cry for Me, Timeless, and Sao Paulo.
In related news, Beyoncé also announced her new tour: “Cowboy Carter Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour” which includes nine cities across the globe including a yet-to-be-determined tour date in Houston.
