If you’re a fan of hamburgers, Houston is the right city for you. On the heels of the ever-popular Austin, fast-casual hamburger chain, P. Terry’s, opening in Houston, Texas Roadhouse sister burger chain, Jagger, has opened its first location in the Houston area.
The Texas Roadhouse burger spin-off, founded by Texas Roadhouse founder, Kent Taylor, first opened in 2014 in Noblesville, Indiana, and has over a dozen locations in the U.S. across Indiana, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
Though you might think the chain was named after the iconic Rolling Stones’ frontman, “Jaggers” is an actually an ode to Taylor’s uncle. The fast-casual burger spot opened its first Texas location in Longview in 2023. Its latest location is now open in Katy at Grand Morton Town Center.
Jaggers serves a variety of burgers, chicken, salads, and shakes. Taylor described the fast-casual burger chain as the lovechild of Chick-Fil-A and Five Guys. Like the aforementioned P. Terry’s, Jaggers is also known for its scratch, made-to-order meals at affordable prices.
“It’s always exciting to get a new-to-market brand for a development” Josh Friedlander, executive for Houston-based commercial real estate developer, said in a press statement. “Jaggers will be a strong addition to Grand Morton’s dining options.”
On the burger and sandwich side, features include the Crazy Good Cheeseburger, Green Chile Cheeseburger, Country Fried Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and Black Bean Veggie Burger. The venue also has a veggie burger option.
Offered sides include shoestring fries, tater tots, fruit cups, side salad, edamame, and mac’n cheese.
Jaggers has opened its 3,900-square-foot space and drive-thru at the Grand Morton Town Center in Katy located at 2660 W Grand Pkwy N. in the company of Pincho Burgers + Kebabs and Whataburger.
