On August 2, Spotify is kicking off Most Necessary Live – a brand-new concert series and rap showcase in Houston featuring That Mexican OT, Mike Dimes, Monaleo, DeeBaby, KenTheMan, and more.
The concert series is based on Spotify’s eponymous curated playlist on the music platform. This live concert series connects artists to their top listeners through special performances featuring some of the hottest emerging rappers on the playlist.
“Regional rap scenes have always been the lifeblood of hip-hop, so we’re thrilled to kick off Most Necessary Live in Houston. As a physical extension of the playlist — it’s another example of how we’re continuing to support emerging artists at Spotify,” said hip-hop lead, artist partnerships at Spotify, Max Weinstein.
“A major collaborative effort across the music and marketing teams, we’re launching this showcase to highlight local artists and give fans a chance to see their favorite acts perform live. The team has been cooking this up for a while, so we’re excited to finally bring Most Necessary to life.”
Most Necessary Live takes place on August 2 in Houston at Warehouse Live with performances from Houston-based artists including Mike Dimes, KenTheMan, That Mexican OT, Monaleo, DeeBaby, and more.
The showcase will also feature photo-ops and merch.
