Get your jumpsuits ready, Houston! Slipknot, the undisputed titans of modern heavy metal, have just dropped the dates for their highly anticipated 2027 worldwide stadium run—officially dubbed the (sic)est Stadium Tour—and Houston is on the collision course.
On Friday, August 6, 2027, the masked nine-piece will be taking over Daikin Park, transforming the home of the Astros into a colossal metal spectacle. Here is everything you need to know about the show, the openers, and how to secure your tickets before they vanish.
The Band & The Tour: What to Expect
For over two decades, Slipknot has defined a generation of heavy music. Bursting out of Des Moines, Iowa, in the late 90s, the Grammy-winning band changed the landscape of metal with their chaotic triple-percussion setups, menacing masks, and frantic, down-tuned aggression.
The 2027 (sic)est Stadium Tour is poised to be their most ambitious production to date. The band has teased entirely new staging, massive pyrotechnics, and a sprawling, career-spanning setlist that will cover everything from their raw 1999 self-titled debut to their modern arena anthems like “Duality,” “Psychosocial,” and “Unsainted.” Stadium tours allow for maximum theatricality, so expect a visual and auditory assault unlike any indoor arena show.
An Absolutely Stacked Lineup
Slipknot isn’t coming to Texas alone. The Houston stop of the 2027 “(sic)est Stadium Tour” will bring the masked metal icons to Daikin Park with Bring Me The Horizon and Polyphia, giving the August 6 bill a distinctly heavy, modern-metal lineup.
Announced on September 28, 2026, Slipknot’s worldwide stadium tour will visit North America as well as international markets in summer 2027. The wider tour package includes a rotating cast of special guests, with artists such as Marilyn Manson, Lamb of God, Motionless in White, Hatebreed, Acid Bath, Lorna Shore, Loathe, Vended, Polyphia, and Kublai Khan TX appearing at select shows. Houston’s confirmed support, however, is Bring Me The Horizon and Polyphia.
