Located on the top of Whole Foods in BLVD Place in Uptown, Rooftop Cinema Club is an open-air theater that provides an atmosphere of what’s been called “social cinema”. Here viewers can choose to walk around and interact with the environment during the course of the movie.
Over the past couple years, the cinema has provided a one-of-a-kind viewing experience in Houston, screening everything from the latest blockbusters to cult classics, sing-a-longs, and more.
This March, the Houston club is elevating their viewing experience even further with the addition of a second screen.
“World’s first two-screen rooftop movie theater is coming to Rooftop Cinema Club Uptown on March 2,” the group wrote in a post on Instagram.
“The installation of our second screen comes with a NEW state-of-the-art DCP projector, which will enable us to play films that are still in theaters, so expect to see more newer releases in the mix. Tickets are now on sale for Screen 2’s opening weekend (March 2-5) featuring a lineup of two 2023 releases – delightfully silly horror-lite romp M3GAN and star-studded heartfelt comedy 80 FOR BRADY. More screenings will be announced soon.”
Upcoming screenings include:
- Top Gun: Maverick (March 3)
- NOPE (March 4)
- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (March 5)
- Everything Everywhere All At Once (March 5)
- 10 Things I Hate About You (March 11)
