Dalmatians and libations. Foxhounds and hash browns. Chihuahuas and frittatas — marry the best of both worlds at this barkin’ brunch festival.
Puppies For Breakfast is a free brunch festival coming to Houston this spring that invites you to enjoy Houston’s brunch cuisine scene with all your four-legged friends. [Featured image: @dogpophtx]
Featuring an expansive 4500-foot play area on the lawn, the largest dog piñata in the world, and over 50 of local dog industry vendors, Puppies For Breakfast is the biggest puppy party in the city.
But that’s not all. The brunch festival will also feature produce giveaways, “big small dog races”, and a dog costume contest — all of which will go to the benefit of local dog rescue.
Thankfully, the name is slightly misleading. No puppies will be featured on the menu. Instead, the festival will feature of a host of local brunch vendors. While the official list of food trucks has yet to be released, you can be sure to expect all your brunch favorites with a few mimosas from Nikko Nikko’s.
If you decide not to share your human food with your puppy pal, fear not the soul-shaking pain of those puppy eyes — the brunch festival will also feature a smorgasbord of culinary options for the dogs.
April 11th is the day to bark in your calendar. Grab your pup and head to the Historic Market Square Park in Downtown Houston from 11am to 3pm to enjoy the dog day afternoon that you actually want!
