Houston’s skyline is getting a festive foreground. Winter Wonderlawn returns to POST Houston on November 6, transforming its five-acre Skylawn into a rooftop holiday escape filled with twinkling lights, Christmas sculptures, and seasonal photo opportunities. This year’s lineup includes two 35-foot Christmas trees, a new 100-foot Polar Express installation, and Sunday visits from Santa beneath falling snow.
Running through January 10, 2027, the seasonal attraction offers plenty of time to squeeze in a family outing, holiday date night, or evening stroll above downtown. Here’s what to know before heading up.

What is Winter Wonderlawn at POST Houston?
Winter Wonderlawn is POST’s seasonal rooftop holiday experience, bringing illuminated displays and Christmas-themed activations to Skylawn, its expansive rooftop park. With the downtown skyline as a backdrop, visitors can wander through forests of candy canes, explore Santa’s village, and take in thousands of lights spread across the rooftop landscape.
This year, the decorations include two 35-foot Christmas trees and new Christmas sculptures, headlined by a 100-foot Polar Express installation. Think festive scenery with a distinctly Houston view—no trip to the North Pole required.
What’s new for 2026?
The new 100-foot Polar Express is one of this season’s standout additions, joining the candy cane forests, Santa’s village, and illuminated holiday displays. POST also promises special seasonal offerings from POST Market, giving visitors a chance to pair their rooftop stroll with something festive to eat or drink. Specific seasonal vendors and menus have not been detailed on the event page.
After Thanksgiving, Snowy Santa Sundays will bring another reason to visit. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., guests can meet Santa and take a picture with him under what POST describes as “real snowfall.” Check the event calendar for your chosen Sunday before planning a Santa-focused visit.

When is Winter Wonderlawn open?
The 2026–27 season runs from November 6, 2026, through January 10, 2027. Tickets are required for rooftop access after 5 p.m. during that period.
