As a beloved figure in Houston, he continues to be The Peoples Champ with his performance at the children’s Gracie’s Corner concert in Houston.
Gracie’s Corner is a popular animated Youtube channel that focuses on educational content for children. Co-created by Houston-based family, Dr. Javoris Hollingsworth, Dr. Arlene Gordon-Hollingsworth, and their daughter, Gracelyn Hollingsworth, the series features energetic, sing-alongs and often-remixed versions of classic nursery rhymes. The channel presently has 5.74 million subscribers, amassing over 4 billion views.
Gracie’s Corner is presently on its first-ever live tour, “Gracie’s Corner Live: Gracie’s Global Adventure”, creating a vibrant, educational, and interactive experience for fans and families. This past Sunday, Gracie’s Corner held its hometown concert at Bayou Music Center in Houston. It was during an H-Town Remix of Wheels On The Bus, that Paul Wall made a surprise, guest appearance, rapping along with kid-friendly lyrics.
“Diamond boy, my mouth is froze, big ol’ smile, I do suppose,” the remix goes. “Please observe how I work the wheel, I tell truth and I keep it real. Down here we call it ‘trill’.”
Paul Wall is not the only rapper to collaborate with Gracie’s Corner. Over the years, the channel featured a performance by Big Freedia on a Row, Row, Row Your Boat remix. Additionally ,the channel did a crossover episode with Doggyland, children’s channel of artist, actor, and entrepreneur Snoop Dogg.
