Retro New Poolside Patio Bar Opens In The Heights

Say howdy to Space Cowboy.

There’s a new watering hole in town, Houston. Space Cowboy is now open inside the Heights House Hotel at 100 Cavalcade for all your poolside bar needs. [Featured image: @spacecowboyhou]

Space Cowboy is a project from the newly formed Night Moves Hospitality group. The group, which consists of Southern Goods and Underbelly Hospitality’s Chef Lyle Bento, and Greg Perez, co-founder of Monkey’s Tail, has four bars slated to open this year, including Space Cowboy.

The bar, located at Heights House Hotel, is a tropical oasis complete with vintage sun-brellas, colorful beach chairs, and a shimmering pool. The Palm Springs-esque watering hole is certainly a vibe, whether its the retro color scheme, vice-like mural, and effervescent lawn-scape.

Bar wise, the island-style patio serves a delectable assortment of fruity Polynesian cocktails. The bar and restaurant has an equally tropical menu, with Hawaiian-inspired dishes that includes fish tacos, ceviche, fried pork belly, and jerk cauliflower.

Space Cowboy is open from 4 pm to 2 am daily. Come time summer, visitors will be able to hit the pool.
