The Otaku Food Festival returns this weekend!
Originally conceived by veteran street food vendor TanukiGo, the celebrated event was introduced to Houston in 2021 as the successor to the popular city Asian Night Market.
As one of the largest regular food and anime festivals in the Houston area, Otaku Food Festival is a free, family-friendly festival that features a sensational spread of food, anime, and cultural entertainment.
Kicking off this Saturday, May 30, the Otaku Food Festival will take over No Label Brewing in Katy as part of its summer tour. This weekend, the One Piece-themed experience will feature over 100 food, anime, drink, and retail vendors.

Among its many food vendors, visitors can take their taste buds all across Asia. Culinary options span from Japanese street food to Taiwanese boba tea, food from the Philipines to Thai eats, bao, noodles, Vietnamese egg rolls and more.
Outside of the delicious food, the festival will feature all-day entertainment. This Saturday and Sunday the festival is lining up the likes of sumo tournaments, voice actor appearances, cosplay contests, as well as photo-ops galore.
Entrance to the festival is completely free; however, we all know you won’t be able to resist the chance to try the on-site eateries. As such, visitors are encouraged to bring cash.

The two-day festival takes place at No Label Brewing at 5351 1st St Katy. On-site parking is free. The festival takes place from 11 am — 7:30 pm Saturday, May 30; and from 11 am — 5:30 pm on Sunday, May 31.
If you can’t make this weekend’s festival, the Otaku Food Festival Texas One Piece Tour returns to the Houston area July 4-5 at B52 Brewery in Conroe.
