As every Oktoberfest lover knows, Germany’s Oktoberfest proper doesn’t take place in October but rather September. Legend has it that it’s to trick us tourists. Luckily for us, we don’t have to take a trip out to Munich to join in on the fun. Throughout the month of September are a special lineup of parties, bar crawls, and other special Oktoberfest celebrations fit with steins, German food, and plenty of polka!

Karbachtoberfest 2025
Kicking off September 19, Karbach Brewing Co. is set to celebrate Oktoberfest in Houston across three weekends. Running until October 5, the brewery will feature Bavarian brews, stein-hoisting contests, bratwursts, wiener dog races, and live music. Live acts performing at Karbachtoberfest this September include the JoiLux Dueling Pianos, The Ransom Brothers, and Lucid Illusions.

Houston MedTech Oktoberfest at Saint Arnold Brewing
Houston’s Saint Arnold Brewery is partnering up with Meow Wolf this September to host the special two-day MedTech Oktoberfest celebration. Taking place September 24th and 25th, the event will host industry leaders, innovators, and investors, for two days of panels, connections, and conversations. Furthermore, the event will feature a Bavarian buffet, German pours, as well as a special Meow Wolf party. Tickets are now on sale starting at $150 (with taxes and fees).
