Grab your costume and leave room for candy: Galveston’s Mystical Parade of Boo is back for its third year. On Saturday, October 24, 2026, witches, vampires, pirates and elaborately decorated floats will take over downtown for a free, family-friendly Halloween celebration.
The Galveston Halloween parade steps off at 6:30 p.m. and runs until approximately 8 p.m., bringing live music, beads and plenty of treats to the Historic Strand District.

What To Expect At The Mystical Parade Of Boo
Hosted by the Tutu Live Krewe—Galveston’s original all-female, all-adult marching krewe—the procession features more than 30 groups, from marching bands and costumed performers to local Mardi Gras krewes with their own decorated floats.
The announced lineup includes the U.S. Navy, Ball High Color Guard and Sea Aggie Band. Along the route, float riders will toss candy and beads to spectators, so bring a bag for your Halloween haul.
Costumes aren’t just for the marchers. Spectators are encouraged to dress up, whether that means full vampire glamour, a pirate getup or something delightfully ridiculous.
Where Does The Parade Go?
The procession begins at Market and 28th streets, travels east along Market to 20th Street, then turns toward The Strand. After looping through downtown, it finishes near Strand and 25th Street.
Market Street and The Strand offer opportunities to watch the festivities. Arrive ahead of the 6:30 p.m. start to find parking and settle into a viewing spot before temporary road closures take effect.

When and where is The Mystical Parade of Boo?
Make an evening of it with dinner or a browse around the Strand before the parade. With the procession wrapping up around 8 p.m., there’s also time to explore downtown afterward. Check Tutu Live Krewe’s official channels before setting out for any last-minute changes.
