Founded by Paul and Merrill Bonarrigo in 1977, Messina Hof Winery is the fourth oldest winery in Texas. With multiple locations throughout the state, its flagship is located in Bryan, just outside of Houston. This summer, the longstanding winery is celebrating its 49th Annual Harvest Festival with a program of award-winning wines, interactive activities, and curated dinners.
Messina Hof’s 49th Annual Harvest Festival takes place from July 24 – August 22, 2026. Throughout the month, the winery has lined up special events for each weekend.
The Messina Hof Winery will launch its annual Harvest Festival with a Moonlit Harvest on Friday, July 24. Taking place Friday evenings throughout the festival, attendees can enjoy interactive grape picking and stomping sessions following an organized buffet.
On Saturday mornings, visitors can opt for Daytime Harvests to gather grapes and stomp them for the estate’s Port production. Daytime Harvests will also feature a brunch and sangria bar.
Participants will also stamp souvenir shirts using their wine-soaked footprints.
Beyond the vines, the winery will host a series of specialized dining events throughout the season. Diners will solve puzzles during wizard- and Hawaiian-themed murder mystery nights on July 25 and August 14, respectively; taste wine directly from barrels during a candlelit cellar tour and dinner (August 1), and explore three distinct cuts of beef paired with signature vintages at the Sizzle & Swirl dinner (August 8).
The Bryan estate will close out the festival with a five-course Southern Summer Sunset gala. As its grand finale, the Vineyard Cuisine menu will offer pairings with its award-winning wines. To complement the evening’s Southern Summer Sunset theme, organizers encourage attendees to wear vibrant attire in shades of coral, peach, and soft gold.
