Houston’s hottest neighborhood is about to get even hotter. Following a recent string of openings, including a CBD cocktail lounge, steakhouse speakeasy, and beer garden, the happening area will continue its growth with the opening of Heights Social, an 8,500-square-foot bar and martini house.
Heights Social is a project from Zach Harris, owner of popular Heights bar, Drift bar. Now, his two bars are side-by-side when Heights Social opens at 1213 W. 20th Street.
Harris’ new project, Heights Social, comprises of 8,500-square-feet of entertainment space, featuring familiar aspects from Drift, including over 50 TVs, wine list, and weekend DJs.
Conversely, Heights Social features on-tap cocktails, champagne sabering, a full kitchen, brunch, old-fashioned martinis, a 40-foot LED wall, and more.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to open another concept on 20th Street,” Harris said. “Heights Social will be a social gathering place for Houston and the surrounding areas. We want this place to be different and create something special for Houston. It’s the first of many more venues to come for Harris Hospitality.”
Martinis feature prominently on the bar’s libation menu, with espresso and traditional martinis on tap. Other cocktails will also be available in this way, including gin cocktails, flavored Old Fashioneds, and craft shots.
Harris has also amped up the photogenic quality of his new venue. Design plans include soaring skylights, automated lighting, a 40-foot LED wall, as well as Restoration Hardware chandelier in the atrium.
Heights Social has officially opened at 1213 W. 20th Street.
