Mix it up this weekend at HTX Margarita Festival. The Houston festival is set to take over the Memorial Trail Ice House on Saturday, June 8, with an intoxicating blend of vendors, food trucks, live music performances, and more.
Is there anything better than a cold margarita on a warm day? Whether or not you’ve already made the rounds of the best margarita bars in Houston and/or made the pilgrimmage to the Houston area’s Margaritaville Resort, you can pay homage to what is debatably the most Houston cocktail of them all at Margarita Festival HTX this weekend.
Kicking off at 4 pm Saturday, June 8, the Houston margarita festival is a one-day event that gives visitors the chance to sample from over 10 margaritas from some of Houston’s best bars and restaurants.
Festival-goers will then be able to vote on their favorites, that which will be counted at the festival’s end: where the vendor with the most chips will be crowned victor.
Furthermore, the festival will feature live music, food trucks, and street tacos, as well as a beer garden, adult playground, and the chance to win an all-inclusive vacation getaway to Mexico.
Regarding the Mexico getaway, ticket buyers will automatically receive one entry; VIP ticket buyers will grant two entries. If you so chose, you can purchase more entries at $5 a piece. The company states that ALL PROCEEDS will go toward The Alexiam Foundation which benefits children’s charities.
Tickets to HTX Margarita Festival are now on sale, with multiple options available. Tickets start at $20 for Non-Sampling Admission – this includes entry but not a sampling pass to food and drinks.
Sampling Admission is priced at $41 (+ fees), granting entry at 7 pm with a sampling card for 10 margaritas, a voting chip, and raffle entry.
VIP passes are also available, starting at $56 (+ fees) which includes early access (4 pm), sampling card, voting chip, and two raffle entries.
The Houston margarita festival runs from 4 pm – 10 pm on Saturday, June 8, at Memorial Trail Ice House located at 6202 Washington Ave near Memorial Park.
