Man vs. Fries is now offering delivery and pickup from two Houston locations.
It’s the time of the year where we say “adios” to our diet plans. Our new year’s resolutions can wait until the first of January, until then, we owe it to ourselves to savor holiday sweets, eggnog, and massive burritos stuffed with french fries. [Featured image: @manvsfries]
Man vs. Fries is a pop-up eatery based out of San Francisco. In the same vein of Chipotle, Freebirds, and Bullrito, the pop-up leaves the burrito-building to the customers – with a salty twist. Whether ordering Asada Fries or burritos, customers must make three choices in the form of fries (straight or curly), meat (carne asada or pollo asada), and style (Norcal or Socal). Style-wise, Norcal options come with straight-cut fries, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and secret sauce, while offer the same with added Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and a side of queso.
Other options on the MVF menu include their Cali Crunch, Hella-Dilla, and Asada Nachos. As with the fries and burritos, these dishes are stacked portion-wise. The Cali-Crunch is a roided up spin-off of Taco Bell’s crunch wrap with added choices of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos or hot Doritos. The Hella-Dilla is a a Cali-fornicated quesadilla with “hella big flour tortilla, hella cheese, hella meat, hella fries, and hella sides (sour cream, guacamole, spiked ranch, queso” with the choice to add hot Cheetos or Doritos. Their Asada Nachos are the chippy counterpart to their Asada Fries, with the choice of Flamin’ Hot Doritos or house-made tortilla chips.
For dessert, MVF offers three heavy hitting sweets: rich and creamy NYC-style fried cheese cake, (4) cream-battered, double-stuffed Oreo OMG cookies, and (4) battered chocolate-chip cookie dough bites.
