Newly minted apothecary, Thorn and Moon, is a new occult shop in the Heights there for all your pagan needs. Opened Friday the 13th, the brick-and-mortar storefront dabbles in witchcrafted wares, ritual tools, jewelry, and accoutrements for the modern eclectic witch. Its inventory, online and in-store, includes the likes of: sigil amulets, custom bespoke spell bottles, hand-printed altar cloths, Tarot card decks, candle sets, brooms, and more.
For the first Friday of every month, Thorn and Moon hosts their Magickal Market. On September 4, the market will take place at the historical Raven Tower from 6 – 11 pm. In addition to a conjuring of artisanal vendors, the truly bizarre bazaar will feature an evening of mystical events that include art shows, workshops, a bewitched burlesque show, tarot card readings, food, cocktails, live music, and goth yoga.
Listed vendors for the event include Hauntwell apparel and accessories, The Kitchen Witch artisan small-batch bakery, Uncommon Bees honey products, Vi is for Voodoo natural soaps and oils products, Dark Matter Oddities, and more.
Magickal Market at Raven Tower on September 4 is a free event. The 3,000-square-foot patio is dog-friendly. After 9 pm, it becomes 21 and up. Masks and social distancing will be encouraged.
