Thorn and Moon’s Magickal Market is an enchanting monthly bizarre, a covent of charming vendors, witchcrafted goods, and occult oddities all (spell)bound together in one wickedly sweet atmosphere. [Featured image: @spookylittlehalloween]
Newly minted apothecary, Thorn and Moon, is a new occult shop in the Heights there for all your pagan needs. Opened Friday the 13th of 2020, the brick-and-mortar storefront dabbles in witchcrafted wares, ritual tools, jewelry, and accoutrements for the modern eclectic witch.
Its inventory, online and in-store, includes the likes of: sigil amulets, custom bespoke spell bottles, hand-printed altar cloths, Tarot card decks, candle sets, brooms, and more.
For the first Saturday of every month, Thorn and Moon hosts their Magickal Market. On October 7, the market will take place at the historical Raven Tower from 6 – 11 pm. In addition to a conjuring of artisanal vendors, the truly bizarre bazaar will feature an evening of mystical events that include a bewitched burlesque show, tarot card readings, food, cocktails, and more!
“Bring your brooms, witch hats, and your best spells,” the organization wrote in an email. “Either way, join us for the Thorn & Moon Magickal Market, Houston’s premiere Witches’ Night Market and Occult Event. Now at Raven Tower!”
Vendors haven’t yet been listed, but those in the past have included Hauntwell apparel and accessories, The Kitchen Witch artisan small-batch bakery, Uncommon Bees honey products, Vi is for Voodoo natural soaps and oils products, Dark Matter Oddities, and more.
Magickal Market at Raven Tower on October 7 is a free event. The 3,000-square-foot patio is dog-friendly. After 9 pm, it becomes 21 and up. Masks and social distancing will be encouraged.
