One of the most unique lazy rivers in Texas, and maybe even the entire world, is located inside Rider Stadium in Frisco. Home to the minor-league, AA baseball squad, the Frisco RoughRiders, Riders Field features an in-house lazy river about the right-field wall. Here, baseball fans can enjoy a 3,000-square-foot flowing river with unparalleled 270-degree views of the ballpark for a one-of-a-kind ballgame experience.
Boasted at the largest water feature in a professional sporting venue, the river is roughly longer than an Olympic-sized pool, with one lap on the tube comes out to around 400 feet. The river at RoughRiders is a 68,000-gallon lazy river that opened at Riders Field in 2006. The river was first christened by Dirk Nowistki. Now, the lazy river is open to ticket buyers on home games scheduled on Thursdays and Sundays.
The lazy river, heated during the colder months, is open to single-game ticket buyers who’ve also purchased a lazy river pass. On Thursdays, the river is 21-and-up for its weekly Rowdy at The River event sponsored by Twisted Tea.
Parties from 20 to 200 people can rent out the river for private events on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. To book your reservation, whether for a birthday party, team outing, bachelor/bachelorette party, contact the venue.
Here, a robust list of alcoholic beverages are available at the CoServe Cabana. Furthermore, full catering is available at the river for additional purchase.
On Sundays, the river is open to all-age ticket holders for Family Fun Day with the purchase of the aforementioned tickets. While river-goers ought to bring their own swimsuits and towels, the venue does provide floats. Lockers are available on-site to stash your belongings.
Single-game tickets start at $11 for lawn seats. Lazy river passes are sold separately starting at $25.
