Just a little over a week ago, Kendrick Lamar surprised the masses with GNX. Released on the heels of its release, Kendrick Lamar has announced the Grand National Tour across America with SZA, including a tour date in Houston this coming April.
It’s safe to say that 2024 could not have been a better year for Kendrick Lamar fans. Not only did Kendrick Lamar release a pair of epic singles amid the Drake beef including Not Like Us, which was (among other accomplishments) the second-most streamed rap song of the decade on US Spotify, and number one of Apple Music’s year-end global songs chart, and longest number one song on the rap chart – Kendrick Lamar was also selected to perform at the next Super Bowl, and (oh yeah), he just released a hit new record.
GNX which debuted at number one on the albums chart and which claimed the Top Five Spots on Billboards Hot 100 with Squabble Up, TV Off, Luther (with SZA), Wacced Out Murals, and Hey Now (featuring Dody6). In the wake of the release of GNX, Kendrick Lamar and SZA have announced the Grand National Tour with a Houston tour date slated for April 23.
Kendrick Lamar and SZA will be performing at NRG Stadium on April 23. Tickets to the Kendrick and SZA concert in Houston go on sale at 10 am on December 6 via Ticketmaster. Previously both Kendrick and SZA performed in Houston in 2018 at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for The Championship Tour.
Squabble Up makes Kendrick Lamar’s fifth Hot 100 No. 1, and his third No. 1 of this year. Kendrick Lamar’s Top Five in the Billboard 100 joins him with The Beatles, Drake, and Taylor Swift.
