Comedy legend, Jerry Seinfeld, the first performer ever to take the stage at Smart Financial Centre when it opened in 2017, will return to that same Sugar Land stage on Saturday, January 16, 2027 — exactly on the venue’s 10th anniversary weekend.
A career that needs no introduction — but here’s one anyway
Seinfeld’s stand-up career launched after his 1981 debut on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Eight years later, he co-created Seinfeld with Larry David — the NBC sitcom that ran nine seasons, collected Emmy and Golden Globe wins, and was named the greatest television show of all time by TV Guide in 2009. A 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll in 2012 ranked it the best sitcom ever made.
His more recent work includes the Emmy-nominated Netflix specials Jerry Before Seinfeld and 23 Hours to Kill, the web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and Unfrosted — the Emmy-nominated comedy film he directed, co-wrote, and produced. He has also written three bestselling books and continues to tour extensively across the US and internationally.
Seinfeld’s last performance was June 2025, where he performed at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
