Spring Break is here, Houston. If you’ve been eagerly awaiting a trip to the beach, poolside drinks, and getting your tan on in the sun, well, that may or may not happen depending on when you go.
Friday
According to forecasters, Friday seems to be the most unpredictable in terms of weather. Click2Houston forecasts a cold front, that which will ease up by the weekend. Space City Weather reports a warm, muggy morning and afternoon Friday with light showers scattered to widespread in the region.
Depending on whether or not a capping inversion – when the usual cold air below, warm air above reverses – occurs, there’s a small possibility that Houston is in store for more severe weather, that includes the chance of hail.
Saturday
Reports suggest that Saturday will begin cloudy in Houston, though will clear somewhat sometime in the afternoon. That said, temperatures are expected to be in the mid-upper 60s region with gusty conditions of up to 30 mph winds. Saturday night, you might want to find a bonfire because the temperatures will drop sub 50 degrees.
Sunday
Temperatures are expected to maintain in the upper 60s on Sunday with slightly more sun. Mid-upper 40 degree weather is expected for Sunday night.
March 11 – March 17
Houston will experience slightly warmer weather next week. Monday is expected to be sunny throughout the day with a high of low-mid 70s. Wednesday is also expected to be nice sunny day with a high of 81. Showers are expected toward the end of the week.
