SpaWorld in Katy is an entertainment venue as much as it is a spa. Here, visitors can enjoy 9 different sauna and relaxation rooms, napping pods, and amenities galore.
Located at 929 Westgreen Blvd in Katy, SpaWorld is a traditional Korean spa that is equipped with a myriad of rooms themed by material and type of healing. Each uniquely themed and varying in climate, the rooms include: the Himalayan Salt Room – made 100% of Himalayan salt blocks; Ochre Clay Room – surrounded by beneficial infrared light waves with floor covered with clay pebbles; the Pyramid Room, Jade Room, Fire Dome, and Arctic Room.
SpaWorld recommends spending 20 minutes in each of the sauna rooms. While there is no specific sequential order, the spa does recommend working your way up from the more temperate rooms (Pyramid or Jade Room) to the hotter rooms like the Fire Dome. Patrons are then encouraged to cool down in the Arctic Room.
Additionally, as a Korean spa, clothes must be removed before entering bath house. The bath houses are separated by gender. For further relaxation, the spa offers Korean body scrubs, massages, as well as foot and body acupuncture for additional pricing.
In addition to its relaxation rooms, SpaWorld features a variety of amenities that include but are not limited to: virtual golf bays, karaoke, a movie theater, lounge areas, outdoor terrace, Korean restaurant, cafe, bar, and restaurant. There’s also an indoor playground for children aged 10 and under.
Be apprised, SpaWorld’s amenities are not included in general admission tickets. GA ticket prices start at $39 for adults on weekdays, $49 on weekends. Children between the ages of 14 and 17 must have a waiver signed by guardian to experience spa services.
