The frighteningly fun Houston Horror Film Fest returns this August!
This summer, the film and horror convention will haunt the Houston Marriott Westchase with three days of screenings, scream queens, and a market straight out of a goth’s best nightmare. Take a look below (f you dare) for everything you need to know about the Houston Horror Film Fest!
What is the Houston Horror Film Fest?
As Houston’s biggest horror film festival and expo, the three-day Houston Horror Film Fest screens over 70 movies and hosts exclusive celebrity Q&A panels. Attendees can also browse a massive vendor hall featuring more than 100 filmmakers, artists, authors, and merchandise dealers.
The festival will also feature two special after party events on the first and second night of the event. Both taking place in the Rose Garden Room of the Houston Marriott Westchase, each will feature a live DJ, cashbar, special guests, and more.

What special celebrity guests will appear at the film festival?
This year, the horror film festival is set to host some of the genre’s most iconic names. Meet the Cast events this 2026 include:
- The Final Girls of Friday the 13th: Adrienne King, Amy Steel, Dana Kimmell, Kimberly Beck, Melanie Tinnaman, Jensen Daggett, Kari Keegan, Monica Keena
- The Cast of Megan: Jenna Davis, Violet McGraw
- The Cast of The Doom Generation: Rose McGowan, Johnathon Schrech, James Duval
- Planet Terror: Rose McGowan, Marley Shelton
Additionally, the festival will see iconic appearances by the likes of Henry Winkler of Scream, Arrested Development, Barry, Juliette Lewis (Cape Fear, Natural Born Killers, Yellowjackets), and Stephen Dorff (Blade, True Detective, The Righteous Gemstones).
Other notable appearances include: Ethan Suplee (American History X, The Butterfly Effect, Mallrats), Jaime Pressly (My Name is Earl, I Love You, Man, Not Another Teen Movie), Simon Rex (Red Rocket, Scary Movie 3, Poker Face), Jack Osbourne (The Osbournes).
When/where is the Houston Horror Film Fest 2026?
The 2026 Houston Horror Film Fest will take place at the Houston Marriott Westchase at 2900 Briarpark Dr. from August 7 – August 9, 2026. Hours vary by festival day:
- August 7: 5 pm – 10 pm
- August 8: 12 pm – 7 pm
- August 9: 12 pm – 5 pm

How to get tickets to the festival?
Tickets to the film festival are now available. Admission starts at $35 for single-day passes (Early Bird Discount). 3-day passes are presently available for $60 with the Early Bird Discount.
Day-of the event, single-day passes will rise to $50; 3-day passes will go up to $80. All ticket options grant access to vendor market, celebrity rooms, panels, and film screenings.
