Don’t let the holiday season pass you by without regaling in one of the season’s most honored traditions, the Christmas market aka Weihnachtsmarkt. From December 13 to December 15, Tomball will host its seasonal German Christmas market with four music stages, over 150 vendors, German festival food, and more!
For its 18th year running, Tomball’s German Christmas Market is set to return with a small village of wonderful festivities. Beginning Friday, December 13th, the market will commence with all the traditional German staples you’d find in Cologne, Dresden, or Leipzig.
Here, you can enjoy a wide variety of German beers – in all shapes and sizes – as well as hot glasses of spiced Gulwehm. Either of which will pair well with the festival’s features of various European foods – not excluding bretzels, schnitzel, bratwurst, and other German favorites.
For your entertainment, the German festival will have four stages will ongoing performances over the course of three days. From proper polka bands, to folk dance troups, cloggers, and more, the energy is sure to be fun and festive.
The stages will also provide the setting for a variety of events, including a beard contest, chicken dance contest, and story time reading with Ghillie The Elf.
Other festival features include street performers, souvenirs, arts & crafts antiques, and a heritage center.
Tomball’s annual German Christmas Market takes place from December 13 to 15 at 201 S. Elm Street in Old Town Tomball near the Historical Train Depot Plaza. Admission to the festival is free.
Additionally, festival organizers will offer free parking and shuttle service from the East parking lot of HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball. Visitors are also invited to park at the LSC-T Nursing School, Medicci Office Complex, and the Tomball Public Works.
