This Vibrant Houston Beer Garden Is Giving Out Free Beer To Anyone With A Vaccine

Cheers to good health!

From now until August this year, Axelrad bar, beer garden, and live music venue is rewarding community members who’ve received the COVID-19 vaccine with a free beer on the house every Tuesday! [Featured image: @axelradhouston]

“You’ve made it through a rough year and finally got your vaccine,” Axelrad wrote in an Instagram post. “We want to celebrate with you. Swing by every Tuesday until the end of August and your first ‘Beer of the Day’ or select N/A beverage is on us!”

Axelrad explained that the weekly promotion applies to cards with first or both doses of the vaccine.

The two-story concept venue and patio bar is one of our all-time favorite spots in Houston. Axelrad regularly hosts a variety of comedic, artistic, and musical throughout the week with Punchline Mondays, Sunday movie nights, and Jazz Wednesdays – just to name a few.

Axelrad is as much a concept piece as a bar: the two-story venue is a century-old manifestation of artists’ visions, from the artisan tap handles, to the seating and textiles. Outside, dubbed the Neon Garden, is a vast patio lined with hammock nooks and bedecked with long community tables.

But let’s not forget, it is by virtue a patio bar. As such, Axelrad offers a dizzying selection of craft beers and cocktails.

While Axelrad doesn’t offer a food menu, their garden is adjoined by Luigi’s Pizza as well as a tiny neighborhood of food trucks from any of which you can bring back to your table. All in all, Axelrad is a cultural stand-out from the other contemporaries and is one of the raddest places in Houston, period.
