Hot off of their 2022 World Series Victory, the Houston Astros are here to kick off another winning year with a street festival ahead of their home opener against the Chicago White Sox.
Today, Thursday, March 30, the Houston Astros are hosting a special festival for game-day ticket holders on Crawford Street outside Minute Maid Park.
Crawford Street between Congress and Texas Avenue and Preston street between Crawford and Labranch will be blocked off for the festivities.
The Opening Day Street Fest will take place from 3 pm – 6 pm and feature a grand slam of entertainment for the whole family. Special features include live music, face painters, caricature artists, food trucks, yard games, inflatables, giveaways, photo boots, as well as giant Jenga, Connect Four, Corn Hole, and more!
“Come out early and get ready to cheer on the Astros,” the Astros write on their website. “Then, head on inside to check out a special Opening Day pregame ceremony as we recognize our 2022 World Series Champions.
A 3/30 game ticket is required for entry into the Opening Day Street Fest.
Regarding the home opener, the Astros will host another of A-listers to set the tone for the season. Country music star, Cody Johnson, is slated to play the National Anthem, while H-Town hottie and key-to-the-city holder, Meghan Thee Stallion will throw out the first pitch.
Mark Wahlberg will also be in the house this Thursday to manage the play ball call.
