Houston, summer just got a little more cinematic. Catch a myriad of cult classics, nostalgic favorites, horror films, animated features and more at the Globe Drive-In Theater, a new pop-up experience just outside Houston open for the summer!
Post up just south of town near Fresno, this limited-time pop-up brings a retro moviegoing experience with modern flair with a massive 32-foot HD screen and an intimate space for about 35 vehicles.
This isn’t your standard blockbuster fare. Expect a curated lineup of classics, cult favorites, family flicks, and even throwback TV nights. The summer schedule is packed with themed events including its “Summer-ween” screenings, Fourth of July celebrations, and Christmas in July features.
Tickets start at just $13 per vehicle, plus $7 for each additional passenger—making it an affordable night out whether you’re flying solo, on a date, or piling in with the crew. Sound streams directly through your FM radio, so you can keep it cozy inside or roll the windows down and soak in the summer air.
Order classic concessions—candy, drinks, popcorn, and giant pickles—straight from your phone, and they’ll deliver right to your car. Oh, and did we mention it’s BYOB-friendly? Bring your favorite beverages and make it a full picnic experience.
Yep, dogs are welcome too! As long as they’re leashed and don’t talk during the movie, they’re free to join.
