“The pool deck won’t be the only thing sparkling this winter,” the hotel wrote in an Instagram post. “We will be having nightly smore’s, glowing lawn games, Thursday night movies, a weekend beer garden and so much more! Make sure you book your stay or tickets now because Texas Winter Lights is coming to town.”
Well you heard ’em. For its Texas Winter Lights event, the hotel is hosting a poolside winter wonderland complete with fireside s’mores, lit-up lawn games, Saturday DJ sessions, and Xmas movie nights (on Thursdays). Winter Lights’ cynosure, undoubtedly, is a laid-back ride on its Texas-shaped lazy river. You might argue that ’tis not the season for water rides, but the pools over at the Marquis Hotel are turned up to warm-hearted 80 degrees and run through a spectacle of twinkly festive lights.
Texas Winter Lights runs nightly on the hotel’s Parkview Terrace from 5 pm – 10 pm from now until January 3. A variety of ticket packages are available for the event that include cabana rentals and weekend experiences. Tickets are priced at $10 for adults, and $5 for children.
Yesterday, the event unveiled its Thursday movie night schedule beginning with Elf tomorrow, December 3. Other screenings include How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Last Holiday.
