Seismique is now open in Houston.
We gotta admit, when that giant monolith started appearing around the world, we were kind of hoping the aliens had finally arrived to take us away. With the landing of Seismique in Houston, however, it looks like they’re here to stay. [Featured image: @seismique]
Seismique is a celestial new exhibit that experiments with an otherwordly interplay of immersive experiences, artificial intelligence, and alien-like terrain. Across 40 galleries, 111 projectors, 40,000 square feet, and 9 million LED lights, the exhibit immerses visitors in alien universes full of creativity, imagination, and wonder.
The exhibit also serves to give a platform to local artists:
“As part of its mission to support the local artistic community, Seismique reserved 12 of its 40 galleries for Houston-based artists to create their own unique vessels of intergalactic expression through wide-ranging art forms,” the exhibit writes on its website. “Seismique is the perfect venue to exhibit the works of established and emerging artists.”
