If you’re not able to stay up to witness the Perseid Meteor Shower this week, may we recommend a humble substitute. This Friday, POST HTX is holding a special viewing of a choreographed drone show from their rooftop Skylawn.
This past fall, the long-awaited POST HTX opened its mixed-media market to the masses. Since opening, POST has hosted a variety of wonderful events ranging from art festivals, farmers markets, and electric concert at their 713 Music Hall. This weekend, the revamped post office will host a special drone show on their Skylawn rooftop
“Witness @pixisdrones lighting up the night sky with hundreds of choreographed drones this Friday Aug 12th on Skylawn,” the venue wrote in an Instagram post. “Live DJs will be turning up the heat while you sip on some cold ones. Rooftop access is free and on a first come first served basis until capacity is reached!”
The event is slated to run from 6 pm to 10 pm.
For additional fun, the complex is home to a full roster of vendors. Such includes: Ander Cafe, Sweets with L&L, Chop n Blok, Soupreme, Taco Fuego, Thai Kun, Soy Pinoy, Blendin Coffee Club, Arabella Mediterranean Cuisine, East Side King, Earth and Roots CBD, G’Raj Mahal, Roberta’s, Hawker 45, The Butcher’s Burger, Whisk Crepes Cafe, Flower and Cream, Salt and Time Butcher Shop, Gelu Italian Ice, and Lea Jane’s Hot Chicken.
Additionally, Post Houston houses 713 Music Hall, a stunning venue with a capacity of 5,000 people – larger than, say, the 3,200 capacity of White Oak Music Hall, but much smaller than Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion or the Toyota Center. Featured upcoming performances include: $uicideboy$ Greyday Tour on August 28 and 29, Jack Harlow on September 10, Nick Swardson on September 16, Bauhaus on September 21, Carly Rae Jepsen on October 9, Lil Nas X on October 11, Rosalía on October 12, 1975 on November 16, and more.
