Houston abounds with wonderful patio bars to enjoy the outdoors. For a more natural experience, branch out at Patterson Park, a massive rooftop patio and bar.
Patterson Park is a project from Lonnie Schiller, the restaurateur and co-founder of The Grove, Cafe Annie, and Cafe Express. Initial announcements came back in early 2020 pre-Covid. Of course, what would then transpire would set plans back a bit. .
Inspired by its surrounding scenic bayou environment, Patterson Park is housed in a campy 4,000-square-foot building fixed with garage doors, tall windows, skylights, exposed wood beams, and other nature-imbued accents.
The building opens up to its sprawling 5,000-square-foot deck patio overlooking a grove of trees. Throughout which, Patterson Park will feature, 40+ TVs for watching sports, yard games, as well as string lights for nighttime ambience.
For an even better view, Patterson Park also features an elevated second-story rooftop deck and bar with sights of the downtown skyline.
Patterson plans serves an assortment of draft cocktails, wine, locals brews, as well as nitro coffee behind the bar. Additionally, the bar hopes to park a fleet of “the city’s best food trucks” outside.
Patterson Park is now open 2205 Patterson St.
