Cozy up this holiday season with your favorite Italian comfort foods. Find fettuccine, penne, ravioli, and more in the most Christmas Restaurant in town: Riva’s Italian Restaurant.
Upon discovering Campo Verde, a Tex-Mex restaurant in Arlington that is a proverbial Christmas vortex – what with it being inundated with thousands of glittering Christmas lights, 30 trees, sparkling sequin, and all– we were struck with a slight pang of envy. That was until we came across Riva’s Italian Restaurant in Montrose.
Although we’ve never been to the North Pole, but we imagine its local dining scene to be a lot like the Riva’s experience – albeit with shorter servers. Located at 1117 Missouri St. in Montrose, Riva’s Italian Restaurant is a neighborhood bistro that specializes in classical Italian dishes.
Ensconced in decor galore, Riva’s serves lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. Although their Sunday brunch regularly attracts glowing reviews, we recommend the dinner service for the full experience – when the lights are at their twinkliest, and the cool night air adds the perfect element to pair with a warm plate of Italian comfort food.
Riva’s dinner menu is divided into appetizer, pasta, veal, casserole, fish & seafood, beef, lamb, & pork, and salad options. Its staff is amiable and accommodating, and its servings are generous – wherein entrees come with soup, salad, and garlic bread. As for drinks, Riva’s offers a small selection of red and white wines that which includes Italian options.
