Coffee from a chemistry set.
Do you ever wonder what would of happened in Breaking Bad if Walter White left his meth making behind and devoted his genius into becoming a barista? Siphon lives in that timeline. [Featured image: @siphoncoffeetx]
I consider myself a cultured man. I’ve traveled. I’ve been around. I’ve had Vietnamese, Turkish, stovetop, and percolated coffee. Not to brag or anything but I DO own a French Press. However, I can honestly say that I’ve never seen coffee made like that at Siphon.
Siphon on West Alabama in Montrose is named after the glassy lab room contraption used to brew their coffee. I failed chemistry in college, but essentially a siphon is a halogen burner that vaporizes the coffee utilizing gravity that results in a very clean and flavorful cup of joe.
But Siphon Coffee is not just a novelty. The coffee house also features a crafted assortment of other brewed and espresso-based beverages. If you’re looking for another kind of pick-me-up, the coffee roaster also offers local craft beer on tap as well as wine options.
In addition to their house-baked goods, Siphon Coffee has a breakfast and lunch menu available from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Their breakfast options include avacado toast, empanadas, breakfast tacos, as well as brunch-style egg platters with a choice of sides. Lunch options include tacos, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and pizza. Any of which would be a great meal to take out on their patio on a sunny spring afternoon!
Furthermore, the coffee house regularly features Siphon Songwriter Nights that invites local musicians to play up to 10 minutes of original music on their indoor stage.
Taste the caffeinated genius of science at Siphon Coffee!
