Bluestone Lane, a Melbourne-influenced cafe renowned for all-day brunch and cute aesthetics has opened an outpost here in Houston.
Based in New York, the Aussie-influenced cafe has over 50 locations, spanning from the East Coast to the West Coast, in cities such as Washington, D.C., Boston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Its latest outpost is located in the two-story, 4,400-square-foot space at 115 W. 19th St. formerly occupied by Becks Prime.
Started in 2013, Bluestone Lane is based on the coffee culture and cafe experience in founder, Nicholas Stone’s, hometown of Melbourne.
“We are so excited to open our first location in Texas,” the coffee chain writes on its website. “Set centrally in the bustling Houston Heights, Bluestone Lane is the perfect brunch stop between a day of shopping, walking, and listening to live music. Bring family, friends, or just yourself and enjoy our expansive indoor seating with high ceilings and lush light or step outside onto our inviting outdoor patio.”
The cafe, claims to be one of the proprietors of Avocado Smash Toast and the Flat White in the United States. In addition to these dishes Bluestone Lane offers an extensive, health-focused menu. Starting with breakfast, available all day, Bluestone features options ranging from Eggs Benedict, to breakfast bowls, breakfast sandwiches, and more.
As for its libations, Bluestone Lane offers a variety of hot and cold coffee-based beverages. Featured options include the Macchiato, Magic – a stronger, slightly diluted form of the Flat White, Draught Nitro Cold Brew, Iced Macha Latte, and Aussie Iced Chocolate. An assortment of teas, juices, and sparkling water is also available.
Bluestone Lane is now open at 115 W 19th St.
