Houston, get ready for a different kind of holiday smackdown.
Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling is returning to the Houston area this December for Texas Stampede II, a three-day Texas tour combining Japanese pop culture with live professional wrestling. The Houston-area shows take place on December 4 and 5 at Pasadena Rodeo Arena, before the tour heads to the Dallas area on December 6.
With the tagline “It Ain’t Our First Rodeo,” this latest visit swaps the previous Houston venue for a full-sized rodeo arena—and adds a festival-style afternoon to the action.

What is Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling?
Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, better known as TJPW, is a Japanese women’s professional wrestling promotion whose performances bring together athletic competition, larger-than-life characters, and pop-idol flair. Organizer Tokyo Story describes the Texas event as a meeting of American-style live pro wrestling and Japanese pop culture.
For newcomers, that means there’s more to follow than the moves inside the ring. Distinctive personalities and theatrical presentation are part of the attraction, making the shows an introduction to a different corner of Japan’s entertainment scene.
The December tour will also feature guest wrestlers alongside the TJPW roster. Announced names include Vert Vixen, Willow Nightingale, Zara Zakher, Hyan, Jazmin Allure, and Maya World, although individual appearances and match lineups should be checked against the latest event announcements.
When is TJPW coming to Houston?
The Houston-area portion of Texas Stampede II takes place at Pasadena Rodeo Arena, located at 7601 Red Bluff Road in Pasadena. There are two separate shows, each with its own schedule.
Friday, December 4: Opening Night
The tour kicks off with an evening of live wrestling:
- Doors open at 6 p.m.
- Wrestling begins at 7 p.m.
- A meet-and-greet is scheduled for 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, December 5: Festival Day
Saturday expands the experience beyond the ring, with a Japanese-inspired food festival and a pre-show featuring Pasadena Game Show, a sumo exhibition, and Sakura Hattori ninja action.
Houston’s Shōgeki Sumo Dojo will lead the sumo portion, introducing the basics of the sport through a training demonstration and live exhibition matches.
The Saturday schedule is:
- Doors open and food tents are ready at noon.
- Pre-show entertainment begins at 1:15 p.m.
- Wrestling begins at 3 p.m.
- A meet-and-greet is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
For anyone hoping to make an afternoon of it, Saturday offers the broader lineup of food, demonstrations, and wrestling.
How do you get tickets?
Tickets are available through Tokyo Story’s official TJPW event page, with advertised starting prices of $30 for either Houston-area show. Check the individual ticket options for seating, availability, and any additional charges before booking.
Meet-and-greets appear on both days’ schedules, but don’t assume they’re included with every admission ticket—review the inclusions for your chosen option.
Whether you’re already following TJPW or simply looking for something outside the usual December itinerary, this two-day stop brings a lively alternative to the seasonal calendar: wrestling, Japanese-inspired food, and a little rodeo-arena spectacle.
