With more Uber Eats orders than any other single-location restaurant worldwide, Houston’s award-winning Indian-Pakistani eatery Aga’s is proving its success on a global scale.
Aga’s has been racking up major awards for years. Recently, the Houston Chronicle named it the No. 1 restaurant in town in 2025, and Food & Wine backed that up, ranking Aga’s as the top spot in what they called America’s most exciting culinary destination.
Recently, Aga’s went global. According to an Uber Eats email reviewed by the Houston Chronicle, Aga’s had the platform’s highest order volume worldwide in 2025 among single-location restaurants. That distinction applies to individual restaurants operating from one location, rather than multi-unit restaurant brands or chains.
The Houston Indian and Pakistani establishment prepares around 2,000 takeout meals daily and Business Insider reported that its flagship location serves more than 4,000 customers a day.
According to Aga’s CEO, Shaukat “Sal” Maredia, this is not the restaurant’s first rodeo. Maredia told the Houston Chronicle that Uber Eats had informed him Aga’s had held the No. 1 single-location position for at least three years.
It’s a staggering feat for an independent eatery. Rather than spreading delivery demand across a large network of outlets, Aga’s has built one of the platform’s highest-volume delivery operations from its Houston flagship kitchen.
The menu focuses on traditional South Asian dishes, with signature options including goat chops, biryanis, and chicken lollipops. To handle the demand, the team also operates a takeout-only outpost in Katy, which itself processes around 700 orders daily. according to Yahoo.
Due to its unwavering success, Maredia has signaled plans for further takeout-focused growth in Greater Houston.
Aga’s presently has two locations in the Houston area; its flagship is located at 11842 Wilcrest Dr. with a takeout-exclusive location at 102 W Grand Parkways S. in Katy. The restaurants’ operating hours are as such:

- 102 W. Grand Parkway S., Suite 100: Daily, 10:30 a.m. — 9:30 p.m.
