Listen up, party animals: this Friday, the Houston Zoo is hosting its annual, after‑hours Brew at the Zoo experience. In support of conservation, the 21+ event will feature everything from giant beer pong to face painting, live music, and more.
With proceeds going directly to the Houston Zoo’s wildlife conservation and animal care programs, Brew at the Zoo is an adults‑only fundraiser in which “every ticket helps support Houston Zoo’s efforts to save wildlife in Texas and around the world.”
The after‑hours experience takes place this Friday from 6:30–10:00 p.m., with last entry at 8:30 p.m. VIP ticket holders can arrive as early as 6:00 p.m.
Scattered across the grounds, the zoo will feature a number of local and regional brewery vendors on site, offering craft beers, ciders, seltzers, and canned cocktails.
During the event, the zoo’s various cafes and concession stands will be open for hungry visitors, including Jack’s Café and Cypress Circle Café.
The event will also feature a number of interactive activities, including giant beer pong, cornhole, and other lawn games. Those young at heart can also take a twirl on the carousel and/or get their face painted. At the Reflection Pool and Masihara Pavilion, visitors can enjoy live music.
Of course, visitors will also have the opportunity to see the zoo’s resident animals. Available Meet the Keeper chats will take place at the Asian elephants, chimpanzees, black bears, bats at Tiger Boardwalk, reticulated python, and Malayan tiger habitats.
Tickets to Brew at the Zoo start at $54.95. The Beer Pass ticket option grants access to the event, activities, and various attractions, as well as a souvenir cup and six 4‑oz samplings from participating breweries.
VIP Passes are available for $149. These tickets include the above perks, as well as early entry starting at 6:00 p.m., an exclusive Meet the Keeper chat at the sea lion habitat at 6:15 p.m., and dedicated VIP lines at each bar.
Event Passes that do not include alcohol are available for $39.95 and include event access, live music, activities, and games.
Tickets must be purchased online; day‑of tickets will not be available at the gate.
Parking: Free parking is available in Hermann Park near the zoo’s main entrance at 6200 Hermann Park Drive, though spaces are limited. Paid parking garages are also available nearby.
