A free, month-long Salvador Dalí exhibition lands in Houston this September! The Argillet Collection, curated by the daughter of Dalí’s longtime publisher, features original illustrations, hand-signed etchings, and rare Aubusson tapestries in a riveting showcase of the famed surrealist’s thematic range.
Christine Argillet grew up in the company of Salvador Dalí as the daughter of Pierre Argillet — the surrealist master’s publisher and confidant for over half a century. As such, Argillet spent her childhood at the intersection of two of the 20th century’s most consequential art movements.
This September, she brings her curated collection to Houston for a month-long exhibition at Off The Wall Gallery, making three personal appearances to share what she witnessed firsthand.

The Argillet Collection, on view from September 15 through October 15, 2026, brings together original drawings, hand-signed etchings, and rare Aubusson tapestries produced through the decades-long collaboration between Dalí and Pierre Argillet.
The collection is widely regarded as among the most rigorously authenticated bodies of Dalí’s work in existence, and has shown at institutions including the Musée Pushkin in Moscow, Kunsthaus Zürich, LACMA, the Isetan Museum of Art in Tokyo, and the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Its permanent homes are the Museum of Surrealism in Melun, France, and the Dalí Museum in Figueres, Spain.
Madame Argillet will appear live at the gallery on September 18, 19, and 20 for complimentary, public receptions. Private appointments are also available.

The works span Dalí’s thematic range — from religious imagery to eroticism — and reflect the creative dynamic that the art world has long summarized as: “Dalí was the creative genius; Argillet was the publishing genius.”
As curator, Christine Argillet describes the exhibition as a tribute to her father’s legacy as a publisher of the Dada and Surrealist movements — a legacy built through sustained, close collaboration with Dalí and his contemporaries. All works in the exhibition are available for acquisition.
Admission to the receptions is free and open to the public; RSVPs are requested. Full event details and private appointment scheduling are available on the Off The Wall Gallery website.
