Houston might love golf, but it adores mini-golf. Though there is a number of wonderful mini-golf courses in Houston to enjoy, the frighteningly fun, glow-in-the-dark Monster Mini-Golf has got to be the most unique. Opened in 2024, Monster Mini-Golf is an indoor family entertainment venue at 1705 North Fry Road in Katy. Created by Christina and Patrick Vitagliano, the glow-in-the-dark venue features an 18-hole mini-golf course, bowling alley, arcade, and a virtual reality center.
Its 18-hole mini-golf course is filled with animatronic creatures – but don’t worry, we understand that they’re docile and are even keen to tell a joke or two. The blacklights serve not only to create a spooky mood, but also bring the handpainted, locally-inspired artwork to life.
Mini-golf here is priced based on height, priced at $11 for players under 5-foot tall, and $13 for those taller than 5 feet.
Monster Mini-Golf in Houston also features mini-bowling alley lanes. Monstrous Gaming Arcade, and virtual reality activity area. The venue also features The Vault: Laser Beam Challenge. Here aspiring James Bond-types can contort their bodies in all sorts of ways as they elude a spectrum of laser beams.
For other pricing considerations, mini-bowling is priced at $5 for five frames. The Vault: Laser Beam Challenge is priced at $3 for single play. The venue offers a number of combination tickets including the Monstrous Mix which includes a round of mini-golf with $10 at the arcade for $20. The Ultimate Combo includes a round of mini-golf, $20 at the arcade, one game of bowling (five frames), a virtual reality games, and one go at the laser maze for $37.
Monster Mini-Golf is located at 1705 North Fry Road Suite 3 in Katy. The venue is open from 2 pm to 9 pm Monday through Thursday; from 2 pm to 10 pm on Fridays; from 10 am to 10 pm on Saturdays; and from 11 am to 9 pm on Sundays.
