In honor of the Houston area code, 713, July 13th is the city’s unofficial holiday. As Houstonians, we’re always ready to celebrate our city. As such, here are seven amazing things to do for the Houston holiday.
1. 713 Day
POST Houston, the city’s premier market and rooftop, have partnered with Bud Light to throw down for a massive 713 Day celebration this Thursday. The free event kicks off 5 pm in the X Atrium and is set to feature games, giveaways, music, Toro, appearances by Texas celebrities, and more!
2. 713 Day at Social Beer Garden
Vibrant city-themed murals, colorful furniture, and a clean-cut patio, Social Beer Garden is a lively Houston sports bar. This Thursday, the bar and patio are hosting a special 713 Day celebration wth DJ Michael “5000” Watts, tacos, BBQ, and Purple Drank.
3. 713 Day Houston with Paul Wall & Lil Keke
Meet two of Houston’s rap icons, Paul Wall and Lil Keke this Thursday at the Clutch City Cluckers’ outpost at 1005 Katy Fort Bend, Katy F. Pull through from 5 – 8 pm for the top-notch chicken, prizes, music, and other themed festivities.
4. 713 Day Night Market at 8th Wonder
Houston’s Astrodome-inspired brewery and distillery in East Downtown has honored Houston’s home teams since its inception. From 4 – 10 pm this Thursday, the 8th Wonder is once again hosting the 713 Night Market as well as DJs, artists, food trucks, merch vendors, and prize giveaways!
5. 713 Day at East End Backyard
Houston Drip Sauce and Nutrl are partnering for a special 713 Day pop-up market. Here, visitors can enjoy Puff&Paint sessions, a slab rollout show, live music, loteria games, a full bar, as well as over 20 Houston vendors. The event is free but Puff&Paint participants must book tickets beforehand.
6. 713 Day at Axelrad
Midtown’s two-story artisan venue and neon garden are hosting a special 713 Day celebration today with themed cocktails and H-Town Hibachi on site (starting at 6 pm). If it so suits you, tango classes will also be held in the Upstairs Room at 7:30 pm.
7. Houston 713 Day at Bad Astronaut Brewing
Bad Astronaut is a space-themed suds factory where visitors can find vibrant graffiti, table games, and stellar beers. On Thursday the brewery is hosting a special Houston-themed party with DJs, 20-vendor market, and more from 5 – 10 pm.
