Texas has always been home to some of the best baseball players in the world, but in 2024 a greater number of superstars than ever will convene at Globe Life Field in Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers for the 2024 MLB All Star Game. This will be the first time the All Star Game will have been held in Arlington since 1972, the first time in Texas since 2004.
Following the 90th anniversary of the MLB All Star Game in Seattle this past weekend, the league has announced the two of the three locations of the superstar showdown for the next three years. Next year, the All Star Game is coming to Texas.
“Major League Baseball is pleased to award the 2024 All-Star Game to the Rangers and the Cities of Arlington and Fort Worth, which presented a robust bid for All-Star Week,” said MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred.
Rangers Lone Star Members will have priority access to the 2024 MLB All Star Game. Alternatively, general access tickets will soon be available on the official MLB website.
While the location of the 2025 MLB All Star Game has yet to determined, the 2026 game will take place in Philadelphia.
Globe Life Field recently underwent an extensive $1.1 billion in renovations. Among the new renovations are a retractable roof, climate-controlled environment, special viewing boxes, strong exterior facades, suites, a kid’s zone, and more.
In other sports news, Houstonians will be able to enjoy a number of high profile events in our own backyard. Later this July, European soccer titans Real Madrid and Manchester United will be facing off at NRG Stadium. Plus, in 2026 the World Cup – the biggest sporting event in the world – is coming to Housotn.
