Find the most spectacular Christmas lights in the Lone Star State this holiday season in Johnson City. From now until January 8, Johnson City is celebrating its 33rd Annual Lights Spectacular, in which the entire area turns into a scene straight out of a Hallmark movie.
Located on the banks of the Pedernales River near Fredericksburg, Johnson City is a town in Blanco Country about three and a half hours outside of Houston.
“Come one, Come all to Celebrate Lights Spectacular’s 33rd Season, in Johnson City,” organizers write on its website.
“This free Christmas/Holiday Lights display is an event you can’t miss. With over 2 Million Christmas lights, this display is so big, NASA reported seeing it from space! Come out before sundown, walk our historic downtown with your family, enjoy local food, beer, wine, and festivities in a family fun atmosphere.”
The citywide spectacle will also feature a variety of events throughout the month with upcoming appearances by Santa, the Grinch, and Disney princesses. Additionally, organizers will also feature Lamplight Tours the Lights Spectacular Lighting Contest through December 15 to December 21.
