Cocktail-driven putt putt concepts might be all the rage right now, but that doesn’t by any means mean that traditional golf courses are going out of style. This season, take a drive at East River 9’s new public golf course, driving range, bar, and restaurant.
Slated to land on the greens this season, East River 9 will be a public, 9-hole golf course. Designed by Smelek Design, the par 3 golf course will offer holes ranging from 80 – 150 yards outfitted with LED stadium lights for night play. In addition to the holes and driving range, the course will also feature a 12,000-square-foot social putting green.
If you’re like those of us whose talents are more reserved for the 19th Hole, fear not. East River 9 is a links-style course intended for public use by all skill sets. Plus, its plans for its restaurant, bar, and patio are as equally-impressive as its course.
Located on the grounds of the golf course overlooking Buffalo Bayou and Downtown Houston, Riverhouse Houston restaurant and patio will feature a sweeping terrace for outdoor games, live music, fire pits, and a playscape for the kiddos. Menu-wise, Riverhouse plans to offer a scratch-kitchen menu as well as curated selection of all the major golf necessities – beer, wine, and spirits.
