Halloween plans in Houston just got easier. POST Houston has lined up four days of programming with the downtown skyline as a backdrop, and a few of the events cost little or nothing.
Thursday, Oct. 29: free Ghostbusters on the lawn
The weekend opens with a free outdoor screening of “Ghostbusters”. It’s open to all ages with an RSVP. You can pick up food and drinks at POST Market or El Tiempo before the film, but outside food and beverages, large bags and lawn chairs are not allowed. Blankets and towels are fine for the grass.

Friday, Oct. 30: blacklight yoga
At 8 p.m., GLITCH takes yoga into a dark corner of the building for a 60-minute blacklight class led by Candice Quino of Black Swan Yoga, with beats from DJ Hiram. Wear your brightest UV paint and neon gear and bring your own mat. Tickets cost $25.
Saturday, Oct. 31: foam, costumes and two big parties
Families can head to the Skylawn from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Halloween Foam Party. Expect several purple-and-orange foam machines, family-friendly music and costume contests with prizes. Tickets cost $5, and the party goes ahead rain or shine.
After dark, the POST Apocalypse Party takes over the X Atrium with lasers, haze and audio-visual production. The event is 18+, with sets from DJ IMAX and DJ EBONIX. Clocks fall back at 2 a.m., so you get an extra hour on the dance floor. The night ends with a costume contest that pays $2,000 to the first-place winner, judged by local media personalities.
Across the building, Club Shugga’s annual Halloween party fills the Art Club with multiple rooms of music. New York’s Ushka and Chicago’s JAXX headline, joined by Shy Margiela, M1ssy, Mrs. Javii, Amarji King, Luan and HYPERFEMME.

Sunday, Nov. 1: Cinco Luchas for Día de los Muertos
The weekend closes in the X Atrium with Cinco Luchas, a Día de los Muertos lucha libre night. Wrestlers from Houston and Mexico will take the ring, and organizers invite the crowd to come in face paint, masks or wrestling gear. El Tiempo Cantina POST will serve food and margaritas all night.
Find the full schedule and ticket details on the venue’s location page or on its official website. POST Houston opened in 2021 inside the former post office, a 550,000-square-foot building that also houses a food hall, a 5,000-person concert hall and the five-acre Skylawn rooftop park.
