Let them eat cake.
From now until June 30, Houstonians can get a taste of the dazzling and decadent treats offered by revered NYC Bakery, Milk Bar, who’ve opened up a delivery-only pop-up in town.
Self described as “NYC’s favorite bakery”, Milk Bar is a highly-toted bakery founded by James Beard award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi that’s been lauded by the press and devoured by fans. Recently featured on Chef’s Table on Netflix, Tosi’s bakery features a dazzling array of desserts that you could probably find at your local grocery store, but with flavor found nowhere else.
Featured items include their famous triple-tier birthday cakes, ranging in flavors from the creamy rainbow-flecked vanilla (with a gluten-free option available), decadent chocolate, and tangy strawberry shortcake.
If feeding a party, customers can also opt for their pies which can serve from 8 to 12 people or one very hungry individual.
Customers can also opt for more bite-sized options such as their cake balls, or as they call them, cake truffles, which like donut holes come in packs by the dozen. Additionally, Milk Bar offers a variety of flavor-packed cookies sold in tins. Available in 6 or 12 counts, the tins carry flavors that include: Cornflake Chocolate Chip Marshmallow, Corn, Blueberry and Creem, Chocolate Confetti, and Cofetti. The 12-count tins come with two of each flavor.
Milk Bar will continue its pop up in Houston until June 30, you can now order your treats via Caviar, DoorDash, Postmates, or UberEats.
