Houston’s dining scene is about to get a major dose of glamour! Set to open in July 2026, Mack Allen’s is a breathtaking new fine-dining destination debuting in the River Oaks/Uptown area.
Spearheaded by businessman and restaurateur Mack McDonald, this massive 16,000-square-foot showpiece will serve as the anchor tenant at the 5POP office tower (4400 Post Oak Pkwy).
A Garden-Inspired Oasis Meets Layered Luxury
Taking over the entire first floor of the 28-story 5POP tower, Mack Allen’s is designed from the ground up to be a fully realized, ultra-luxurious dining experience. At the heart of the space is a sophisticated main dining room, with thoughtfully curated specialty spaces including the Champagne Room, The Boardroom, Estate Room, and The Patio.

What’s On The Menu?
Mack Allen’s is pulling out all the stops with premium cuts of prime beef, American Wagyu, and delicate seafood. Diners can feast on East Coast and Gulf oysters (including chargrilled!), sushi, sashimi, caviar, lobster, crab, and seasonal indulgences like truffles.
But don’t worry, McDonald hasn’t forgotten his roots. As a nod to his Louisiana heritage and the massive success of The Rouxpour, the menu will also feature a signature smoked duck gumbo.

Mack Allen’s Culinary Team
To bring this elevated vision to life, McDonald has tapped Executive Chef Carlos Andrade—who previously spent five years as Executive Chef for The Rouxpour and boasts a resume including Brennan’s of Houston and Brenner’s Steakhouse. He is joined by Regional Chef Manny Viveros and Pastry Chef Karen Romero.
“At Mack Allen’s we’ll embrace a guest-first philosophy of always saying yes,” General Manager Shaun Stockton says. “This isn’t just about exceptional food. It’s about creating a place where hospitality leads everything and guests feel a true sense of belonging.”
Mack Allen’s plans to open at 4400 Post Oak Pkwy in July 2026.
