Before Michelin announced that it would be expanding into Texas, viral TikTok food critic Keith Lee blessed the state. In Houston, Lee stopped at a number of restaurants including The Breakfast Klub, Stick Talk, and Better Funk Kitchen.
His highest scores in Houston topped out at 9.8 for The Breakfast Klub, to which Lee stated:
“I 110% percent understand why the Breakfast Klub is a staple in Houston. The food – immaculate. I mess around and come back to Houston just for that.”
Lee announced in a recent video on TikTok that he has moved to Texas with his family after 10 years of living in Las Vegas – though didn’t state specifically where.
“We were trying to keep it a secret, but it ain’t a secret no more,” Lee said in the video. “Me and my family live in Texas.”
“Not only have those food reviews played a pivotal role in me and my family’s life, over 150 different family’s lives across the nation in less than a year’s time,” Lee said. “On top of that I became the first person in my entire generation to own a house. That is amazing.”
Keith Lee stated in the video that he had been somewhat inactive online the past few months due to general life events (family, moving, birthdays) as well as what he perceived to be unjust criticism and hostile online activity.
“It was more feeling like the positive things that we do gets quickly overshadowed by anything that people deem negative.… Instead of making articles that are focused on the fact that we blessing up to do what we do when it comes to restaurants, most tend to focus on the most miniscule and negative things when it comes to me and my family… So I took a break.”
Lee stated in the video that he has big plans for this month, including a food tour.
